We seek a Senior Scientist for our Protein Production group to lead the bioanalytical characterization of our antibody and protein therapeutics, utilizing analytical technologies such as mass spectrometry, analytical SEC/CEX/HIC, CE-SDS, and DSC.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop and qualify assays for assessing Akriveia molecules for developability properties such as mass, peptide sequence, glycan structures, post translational modifications, and thermal stability
  • Work with CROs, collaborators and partners to transfer samples, data and protocols into, or out of, Akriveia, as appropriate
  • Identify and integrate technologies that improve or expand the ability to analytically assess molecules by working with teammates, collaborators, vendors and staying abreast of the literature
  • Enter all data into laboratory notebooks and databases on a daily basis and provide weekly summary reports for management review
  • Regular participation and presentation of data and analyses at project team and department meetings

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D., post-doctoral experience, and +3 years in the field of bioanalytics or other highly relevant field; ideally, with 2+ years’ experience working in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company
  • Technical experience with a variety of analytical platforms, such as high-resolution mass spectrometry, analytical HPLC assays such as SEC, CEX, HIC, DSC analysis and glycan mapping and structural analyses
  • Experience with proteomics, protein purification, formulation of protein therapeutics or accelerated stability studies is desirable
  • A track record of innovation and scientific rigor, strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, and ability to contribute constructively to discussions
  • Goal oriented, organized, capable of prioritizing and working on multiple projects, and able to execute to timelines that meet company goals
  • Work well in a cross functional team environment, both independently as well as be willing to help others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Driven by a desire to create the next generation of immunotherapy based cancer therapeutics and the vision to offer cancer patients efficacious and tolerable new therapies that extend and improve their lives
