We seek a Senior Research Associate for our Immunology Assay group to be responsible for the development, qualification, and execution of ex vivo bioassays for the characterization of immuno-oncology focused protein therapeutics.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, qualify and perform ex vivo assessments for immune cell responses using mouse, cynomolgus monkeys, and human tissues
  • Assist with In vivo models, IHC, FACS analyses, and in vitro bioassays
  • Identify and integrate technologies that improve or expand the ability to assess molecules by working with teammates, collaborators, vendors, and staying abreast of the literature
  • Enter all data into laboratory notebooks and databases on a daily basis and provide
  • weekly progress reports for management review
  • Regular participation and presentation of data and analyses at department meetings

Qualifications:

  • BS or BA and 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience or MS with 3+ years or relevant laboratory experience, desirably in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company
  • Technical experience in the development, qualification and execution of ex vivo assays using mice, cynomolgus monkeys and human tissues, such as antibody effector function, MLR, and T cell proliferation assays
  • Experience with any of the following is desirable: in vivo oncology or immunology models, FACS, or immunohistochemistry
  • Goal oriented, organized, capable of prioritizing and working on multiple projects, and able to execute to timelines that meet company goals
  • Work well in a cross functional team environment, both independently as well as be willing to help others
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Driven by a desire to create the next generation of immunotherapy based cancer therapeutics and the vision to offer cancer patients efficacious and tolerable new therapies that extend and improve their lives
