We are seeking a Principle Research Associate for our In Vivo Biology group who will develop, qualify, and perform of in vivo models for the characterization of immuno-oncology focused protein therapeutics.


  • Develop, qualify, perform and assess data from in vivo mouse tumor and immunology models and pharmacokinetic testing
  • Work with CROs, collaborators and partners to transfer samples, data and protocols into, or out of, Akriveia, as appropriate
  • Identify and integrate technologies that improve or expand the ability to assess molecules in vivo by working with teammates, collaborators, vendors, and staying abreast of the literature
  • Enter all data into laboratory notebooks and databases on a daily basis and summarize work in weekly progress reports for management review
  • Regular participation and presentation of data and analyses at project team and department meetings


  • BS/BA in a scientific discipline and 8+ years’ of experience in the field of in vivo oncology models, or MS in a scientific discipline and 5+ years; ideally, with 5+ years’ experience working in a CRO, biotechnology or pharmaceutical company
  • Technical experience with syngeneic tumor models, as well as PDX and/or humanized tumor models
  • Experience with any of the following is desirable: with pharmacokinetic analyses for protein therapeutics, IHC, FACS, ex vivo bioassays, or animal models of autoimmunity
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills and ability to contribute constructively to discussions
  • Goal oriented, organized, capable of prioritizing and working on multiple projects, and able to execute to timelines that meet company goals
  • Work well in a cross functional team environment, both independently as well as be willing to help others
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Driven by a desire to create the next generation of immunotherapy-based cancer therapeutics and the vision to offer cancer patients efficacious and tolerable new therapies that extend and improve their lives
